About

I’m Michelle. I hate About Me pages. Like, how am I supposed to decide which things are need to know? Some of the high-lights: I love Coca-Cola classic and I hate the sound pencils without erasers make. I’m a “writer,” which means I occasionally spew words through a blog and frantically work on my novel (set to be published sometime after 2017).

I graduated from Texas A&M with a B.A. in English and then an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, but if I could do it over, I would have stayed in school forever, racking up degrees like Taylor Swift racks up platinum albums (#swifty4lyfe).

I’ve been married for three years so I’m basically a marriage expert and I have a toddler so I’m probably also a parenting expert.

I spend my days pretending to be a high school English teacher and my nights pretending to be a writer. But also procrastinating by binge-reading young adult novels and watching as much Netflix as I’m able to with a family and grown-up responsibilities.

You can find me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Snap Chat (but only if we’re related through blood or secrets).

I’ve been published on The Huffington PostScary Mommy, HelloGiggles, and She Is Fierce and rejected from double that number of sites.

It should also be noted that even though my website, email address, Instagram, and Twitter accounts are all under the name Michbelle in some shape or form, my name is actually Michelle. I use Michbelle because Michelle is always taken, but if you’re here, we’re friends, and friends call each other by their real names. Usually. So, feel free to call me Michelle! If you want to. No pressure though.

xoxo, Michelle
